Hyperdivergent skeletal Class II malocclusion has always been a challenge in orthodontics for discrepancies both in sagittal and vertical dimension. Differential diagnosis and treatment in vertical dimension is critical. Many cases featured with different skeletal structure although their appearance is similar. It is difficult to get the predicted result, if the treatment is only based on the clinical appearance, What if we treat Hyperdivergent skeletal Class II cases using differential mechanism based on the differential diagnosis of their skeletal structure? This lecture will probe more deeply into the differential diagnosis and differential treatment mechanism of the Class II high angle cases.
Learning Objectives:
Recognize different types of hyperdivergent Class II cases.
Interpret the indication for dentoalveolar compensation.
Assess the differential treatment strategy based on the differential diagnosis of the hyperdivergent Class II cases.
