Periodontal Movements in the Aligner Age

Description

Historically certain tooth movements have shown to have Periodontal benefit. Whereas many of these movements were accomplished utilizing fixed appliances, in today's aligner age they can be challenging, but still feasible. This presentation will illustrate these movements and then show how they can be executed with aligners.

Learning Objectives:

  • Appreciate physiology of tooth movement.
  • Identify periodontal benefit of certain movements.
  • Implement some instances of interdisciplinary sequencing.
