Missing Teeth in the Smile Area: Space Closure and Orthodontic Manipulation of the Periodontal Tissues

May 5, 2019 3:20pm ‐ May 5, 2019 3:50pm

Description

Space closure and non invasive restorations could be the best alternative for the patients with missing teeth in the smile area. Not only the least invasive and the most predictable solution, but also the best way to remodel the alveolar bone and regenerate the soft tissue.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize patients who can take full advantage of space closure.
  • Understand the different reactions of the periodontal tissues in case of periodontal breakdown vs intact periodontal tissues, in the growing patients vs adults.
  • Manage the periodontal tissues in patients with severe periodontal breakdown.
