Description
Low complexity treatments have been less and less treated by orthodontists, and this is due to two factors. The first is that general practitioners are increasingly performing these treatments; the second is the growing popularity of the irresponsible "do-it-yourself" orthodontics. Thus, more complex interdisciplinary treatments have become routine in orthodontics and this presentation will address recent concepts in interdisciplinary approaches.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize new applications for the synchronization of restorative CAD / CAM treatments with orthodontics in functional and aesthetic rehabilitation.
- Identify the role of interproximal reduction to posterior teeth to decrease food impaction and improve patient comfort.
- Identify the need to provide correct inter-arch restorative spaces in pre-prosthetic orthodontic treatments.
