May 6, 2019 3:55pm ‐ May 6, 2019 4:25pm

Description

The news is full of stories of Ransomware attacks, Viruses outbreaks and Corporate Data Breaches. As life becomes more Internet centric, your personal online security has never been more important.

During this presentation I will show you how simple it is to get hacked, how dangerous public WiFi can be, and how you can learn if your usernames and passwords have been leaked during a data breach. We’ll cover some simple steps you can take to better protect yourself.

I’ll try to limit the ‘Geek Speak’ and talk about the issues in terms we can all understand. Please bring along your own questions and experiences to share.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know how to determine if your usernames and passwords have been leaked onto the Internet.
  • Know how to make simple and secure passwords.
  • Know how to minimize your risk of being hacked while using WiFi.
