Patients with cleft lip and palate often is characterized by a retrognathic and hypoplastic maxilla, resulting in a Class III malocclusion. Orthodontic therapy has relied in facemask for years, and whenever insufficient, patients were led to surgical correction. The purpose of this presentation is to describe the steps to BAMP treatment, and discuss the limitations and challenges inherent to this unique population.
