May 5, 2019 10:00am ‐ May 5, 2019 11:00am

Description

This one-hour program will focus on areas of practice that frequently result in malpractice litigation. The speaker is an orthodontist experienced at reviewing and evaluating claims for AAOIC. He will address the most common causes of orthodontic claim litigation and discuss practice management activity to alleviate or minimize exposure to errors and/or problems that become claims.

Learning Objectives:

  • Take thorough, high-quality written and diagnostic records to maximize defense of claims.
  • Identify the importance of effectively obtaining informed consent (including the use of supplemental forms which address complex dental problems) from all patients to preclude lack of informed consent allegations.
