Practical Early Treatment: A Case-Based Review

Description

Early treatment decisions impact comprehensive treatment outcomes. Our purpose is to provide principles, based upon best-evidence and our clinical experience, for making early treatment decisions. Topics include managing early crowding, ectopic eruption of teeth, Class II treatment, Class III treatment, deep bites, open bites, and posterior cross bites.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply general early treatment principles in your practice.
  • Apply guidelines to manage early crowding and ectopic eruptions.
  • Apply guidelines to manage excessive anterior overjet, skeletal Class II relationships, psuedo Class III relationships, anterior cross bites, skeletal Class III relationships, deep bites, open bites, and posterior cross bites.
