A smile contributes to social success! Like their healthy peers, people with medical, physical and psychological special needs seek orthodontic treatment to improve appearance, oral health, function and/or self esteem. This lecture distills 30 years of clinical experiences, successes, and disappointments into a practical orthodontic approach toward potential child and adolescent patients with special health care needs.
