Dr. Harry Legan has spent his 40-year career treating the most challenging orthodontic cases while developing and expanding the scope of orthodontics in the areas of orthognathic surgery, distraction osteogenesis and obstructive sleep apnea. Currently in private practice, he served for 32 years in full-time academics as Associate Professor and Director of Orthodontics at the UTexas Southwestern Medical School–Parkland Memorial Hospital, Professor and Chair of Orthodontics at WVU, and Founding Professor and Chair of Orthodontics at VUMC. Dr. Legan has served on the editorial boards of several journals, including The Angle Orthodontist and the AJODO. He has authored numerous publications and lectured extensively worldwide. He is past-President of the North Atlantic Component of the Angle Society, a past-President of the TN Assn of Orthodontists, and a Diplomate of the ABO.
